Multi-sport club – Piedmont At the historic site of the of a prestigious sports club (approx. 3,000 members), a TEON dual-stage heat pump was installed in combination with a 130 kWe cogenerator. As part of the project, wells were drilled for the extraction and return of first level groundwater, with a flow rate of 48 cubic metres / h. The new plant layout-which replaces natural gas-fired condensing boilers-is designed to supply part of the electrical utilities and to generate heating, cooling, and domestic hot water (DHW) for the main building, two restaurants, the gymnasium, health club, locker rooms, swimming pool, and tennis courts (one of which is indoor). Considering the promiscuity of the rooms to be heated, thermal energy is delivered at 80°C The cogenerator is electrically controlled by the TEON heat pump, with surplus electricity used to serve other utilities in the Center, thus reducing the drawdown from the grid.
